DALLAS – Jax State standout
KyKy Tandy has been named a First Team All-Conference USA selection, the league announced on Monday.
The graduate transfer from Hopkinsville, Ky., led the league in scoring at 18.3 points per game, which included a 32-point effort in the season finale at regular season champion Sam Houston. His season and career high was a 35-point game in early January against FIU, who the Gamecocks open the 2024 CUSA Tournament against on Tuesday night.
While setting a Division I school record for points in a season with 567, Tandy was also the only player to rank in the top-five within the conference in field-goal percentage, three-point percentage and free-throw percentage.
In the Gamecocks' first season in CUSA, Tandy becomes the first Gamecock to earn postseason honors in the new league. The last All-Conference selected for Jax State came in 2022 with Darian Adams making the All-ASUN Team.
Tandy and the Gamecocks begin their run in the 2024 CUSA Championships on Tuesday night from the Von Braun Center in Huntsville, Ala.
