DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – The Jax State men's basketball program has been selected to play in the inaugural Boardwalk Battle in Daytona Beach in November, the Gazelle Group announced on Monday.
The men's basketball tournament will take place November 21-23 in Daytona, giving prominent Mid-Majors a chance to simulate the conference tournament experience early in the season with three games in three days.
Further information regarding brackets and game times will be released at a later date. Teams already announced as part of the field include LaSalle, East Carolina, UC San Diego (second in the Big West last season), Stetson (made first NCAA Tournament appearance last season after ASUN Tournament title) and Toledo who's won four-straight Mid-American Conference titles.
The 2024-25 season will be the ninth for Jax State under the direction of head coach
