JACKSONVILLE—Both the Jax State men and women's cross country programs earned U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association Academic team honors this week.

To qualify for an All-Academic distinction, teams must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale, including the most recent grading period.

The Gamecock women posted a 3.73 GPA while the men posted a 3.41 on a 4.0 scale.

Both squads also finished with historic seasons on the course as well this season. 

At the NCAA regional in Tallahassee, the Jax State men placed 13^th while the women finished 23^rd, both marks are the best team regional finishes in program history. Four Jax State men and one women's individual finished in the top 100.

Both the Jax State men and women finished with the highest GPA among Conference USA team honorees.
