Trickett Named to 2025 Broyles Award Nominee Class

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark.—Jax State associate head coach and offensive line coach Rick Trickett was named among the class of nominees for the 30th annual Broyles Award, which honors college football's top assistant coaches.

Trickett is in his fourth year coaching the Gamecock offensive line and has helped have Jax State rank in the top five in rushing nationally all four seasons.

This season, his offensive line has seen nine different players earn starting assignments, but once again, rank fourth in FBS in rushing at 259.2 yards per game. The Gamecocks are at the top of Conference USA in sacks allowed at 14 in 11 contests.

For the first time in the 30-year history of the Broyles Award, fans across America will have a direct voice in deciding which assistant coaches advance to the semifinalist round, finalist round, and ultimately who wins the award.

Fans can cast votes for their favorite nominees throughout each stage of the competition. Each individual fan vote counts toward one collective "fan vote" in the official selection process of each round.

Fans can vote at BroylesAward.com/Vote.

The 63 nominees in this year's class come from a pool of approximately 1,500 assistant coaches in the Football Bowl Subdivision. The winner will be announced live on Thursday, February 12th in Hot Springs, Ark.
