Fresh off their first tournament title of the season and a week off, the top-ranked Gamecock bowling team will head to the Bulldog Classic hosted by LA Tech at Cityview Lanes in Fort Worth, Texas.

Jax State is at the top of the National Tenpin Coaches' Association Power Index Ranking and has a 22-4 overall record this season. Through two tournaments, the Gamecocks lead the country in overall average at 212.69, traditional average at 214.38, and Baker average at 216.6. The Gamecocks have a team 55.19% strike percentage, which is nearly four percent better than their next closest competitor.

Individually, the Gamecocks have three of the top four bowlers in the Player Composite Performance Index with freshman
Gianna Brandolino ranking second, sophomore
Emma Yoder third, and classmate
Erin Klemencic fourth.

Yoder leads the country in individual scoring average at 232.13. Brandolino is third at 216.58, boosted by earning Destination Orlando Tournament MVP honors.

Seven of the Top 10 will be in attendance this weekend with the Gamecocks set to face Texas Southern, No. 5 Wichita State, No. 19 Tulane, Jackson State, and No. 2 Nebraska on Friday in Baker matches. On Saturday, they will face two teams within their pool in position rounds which consists of No. 3 Vanderbilt, No. 6 Arkansas State, No. 11 Sacred Heart, No. 24 Oklahoma Christian, Alabama State, Southern, and Prairie View A&M. Jax State will then face No. 9 LA Tech, Florida A&M, and No. 8 Sam Houston in traditional matches.
