Jax State failed to snap its losing skid on Monday, Dec. 1, as the Gamecocks lost their fourth consecutive game. Jax State dropped a home contest to in-state foe North Alabama 73-66 after leading for much of the game.
Series History vs. AUM
Jax State and AUM have met 10 times prior to Sunday's meeting, with all 10 games taking place in between 1978 and 1985. The last meeting between the two teams featured the 31-1 NCAA Division II National Champion Gamecocks in 1985.
Jaye Dropping Dimes
On Wednesday, Nov. 19 against South Alabama, sophomore point guard
Jaye Nash finished with 12 assists, a new career high. Nash surpassed his previous career high of 10 assists and became the first Gamecock to finish with 12 or more assists since Malcolm Drumwight had 12 against Fort Valley State on January 10, 2017. Nash also had eight assists this past week against North Alabama.
Conference USA Schedule
Jax State is set to open up its Conference USA schedule on Dec. 29 against Western Kentucky in The Pete before setting sail on a road trip at Delaware and Liberty to begin the new year. Jax State will face each CUSA school twice aside from Middle Tennessee in Missouri State this season and will close out its CUSA slate at NMSU and UTEP in the first week of March. The 2026 Conference USA Tournament is once again slated for Huntsville, Alabama at Propst Arena from March 10-14.
Home Sweet Home
Across the last seven seasons, Jacksonville State boasts a record of 59-28 in The Pete. The Gamecocks have specifically dominated the non-con ranks, turning in a total record of 26-7 record in non-conference home games since the 2019-20 season.
