CLINTON, S.C. – Men's Tennis got their third-straight win and second-straight road win in a 4-0 blanking of Presbyterian Saturday.
David Krasner and
Marko Milosavljevic kept their strong week going with a doubles win, and a pair of singles wins.
Milosavljevic and Krasner teamed up for a 6-1 dismantling of Presbyterian's Pedro Cardoso and Daksh Prasad on court two to get things rolling for the Red-and-White.
Lucius Soller and
Zach Murphy continued their strong doubles season with a 6-4 triumph over Denim Yadav and Eduardo Valentin to claim the doubles point for Jax State.
Logan Haga and
Timo De Visser were tied 4-4 with David Mamalat and Evgenios Vasilakis on court one when the Gamecocks took the doubles point leaving the match unfinished.
Krasner got the first win in doubles with a 6-0, 6-3 victory over Vasilakis on court four to put Jax State ahead 2-0. Milosavljevic then won 6-2, 6-3 over Prasad on court three to leave the Gamecocks one point from taking the win.
Matei Palcau clinched the sweep for Jax State with his court six victory over Yadav. Palcau took the first set in a convincing 6-2 win before winning the second in a competitive 7-5 final.
De Visser lost his first set against Mamalat on court one 6-3. De Visser trailed 6-5 when the match was called.
Charlie Penman dominated his first set against Cardoso 6-1 but the two were tied at six apiece when the match went final.
Aman Dahiya lost his first set against Valentin on court five 6-4. Dahiya and Valentin were all square at five, but the match was unfinished.
Jax State's next match is set for a 9 am central start at Georgia State on Sunday, March 30.
