
Women’s Golf Hosts Chris Banister Classic at Silver Lakes

GLENCOE—The 28th Chris Banister Golf Classic begins Monday at 8:30 a.m. at RTJ Silver Lakes in Glencoe.
It is the lone home event for the team this season.
Jax State opened the spring portion of the season with a fourth-place finish at the Advance Golf Partners Collegiate at Hammock Creek with freshman Rebekka Stutley placing sixth in her debut with a 54-hole total of six over.
Redshirt sophomore Rachel Camp leads the team in average strokes per round at 75.2 and has a team-high 40 biries this season.
The Gamecocks have won the event eight times and five individuals have earned medalist honors. In 2013, Melani Sisto set the tournament record for the low score through 36 holes at 139 (-5) and 54-hole total at 209 (-7).
Also in the field in 2025 are Bryant, Murray State, North Alabama, Samford, and Tennessee Tech.
The 54-hole tournament will take place over three days with 18 holes each day. Play begins on the Mindbreaker and will continue to the Heartbreaker. The course will play between 5,700 and 6,000 yards and par 72.
