JACKSONVILLE – Jax State men's tennis ended the 2025 regular season on a six-match win streak thanks to a 4-0 blanking of in-state rival UAB Saturday afternoon.
Marko Milosavljevic starred by clinching the match for the second day in a row in singles and a doubles win with partner
David Krasner.
Timo De Visser and
Logan Haga earned a 6-1 win over Jake Anthony and Hoan Mouret on court three to get the winning rolling for the Gamecocks.
Lucius Soller and
Zach Murphy then fell on court two against Conor Flynn and Ondrej Valek in a 6-4 final.
Krasner and Milosavljevic then got the doubles point for the Gamecocks thanks to their 6-3 victory over Georgios Nouchakis and Juan Pablo Valdez on court one.
In singles play,
Alin Fatu earned a dominant win over Anthony thanks to a 6-0 first set win and a 6-2 second set win. Krasner then got a 6-1, 6-2 triumph over Flynn on court four to put the Gamecocks in front 3-0. Milosavljevic then brought the win home with a hard-fought match against Valek on court three. Milosavljevic won a close first set 7-6 before taking the second set 6-1.
De Visser beat Nouchakis 6-2 in the first set on court one, but Nouchakis took the second set 6-1. Nouchakis was leading 1-0 in the third when the match was unifinished as the Gamecocks earned the win.
Charlie Penman won the first set on court two against Valdez by a score of 7-6 and was ahead 4-1 in the second. Finally,
Aman Dahiya won the first set against Mouret 6-4. Dahiya and Mouret were tied at 2-2 in the second when the match was called.
Jax State will now head to the Conference USA tournament next week in Lynchburg, Va. Seeding, match times, and brackets will be released Monday, April 14.
