JACKSONVILLE—Jax State has added a road game to the 2026 schedule.
 
The Gamecocks will travel west to San Jose State on September 26^th.
 
It will mark the second time that Jax State has played a football game in California and the first since 1980 when it traveled to Cal Poly San Luis Obispo for the NCAA Division II Playoffs. The teams were scheduled to play in 2024, but a scheduling conflict prevented the matchup.
 
The Spartans will return the trip on September 22, 2035.
 
Jax State is coming off a 9-5 season and a win in the IS4S Salute to Veterans Bowl over Troy.
