
Five Jax State Teams Earn CUSA Sport Academic Awards

DALLAS—Conference USA released its Institutional Excellence Award and Sport Academic Awards for the 2025-26 academic year on Friday with five Gamecock teams earning the sport academic distinction.
The five Sport Academic Awards were the most of any institution in Conference USA this year.
The Sport Academic Award is given to the team in each conference-sponsored sport with the highest GPA for the academic year.
Women's Golf led the group with a 3.89 team GPA. The Gamecock bowling team won the league title and led the league with a 3.87 grade point average. Softball also won the Conference USA title and led the way in the classroom with a 3.77 GPA.
Soccer posted a 3.79 GPA and men's cross country rounded out the honorees at 3.68.
Overall, Gamecock student-athletes posted a 3.361 grade point average during the 2025-26 academic year.
