Women’s Golf Opens Fall Season at Pirate Collegiate

The fall portion of the 2026-27 Jax State women's golf season begins on Monday at Greenville Country Club in North Carolina at East Carolina's Pirate Collegiate Classic.
Fourteen teams will make up the field that will play 54 holes over two days on the 5,944 yard, Par 72 course. It's a course that coach Robbie Fields is very familiar with after spending three years on staff at ECU.
Lara El Chaib and Julie Ulvenes Kleppe were starters last season that return to the lineup along with junior Ashley Stevenson. Four new faces join the roster in junior transfers Caitlin Shippam and Sophia Blake and freshmen Tala Clarke and Julie Waldo.
Kleppe held the 18-hole lead at the Conference USA Championship as a true freshman last year and El Chaib was one of the top freshmen in the field at the championship the year before.
The Gamecocks will be in the second wave off on Monday on the first tee alongside James Madison and Longwood starting at 8:30 a.m. Eastern. They will play the first two rounds with that group on Monday before re-paring for Tuesday's final round.
