Men's Basketball Reveals 2026-27 Nonconference Schedule

JACKSONVILLE – The Jax State men's basketball team revealed the remainder of its schedule for the 2026-27 season, featuring 14 nonconference games in all, with seven of those inside Pete Mathews Coliseum.
Prior to the beginning of the regular season, Jax State will host Alabama State on Oct. 16, along with Samford on Oct. 26 for a pair of exhibition games. Both games are open exhibitions, each set to tip-off at 6 p.m.
The Gamecocks will then open its regular season slate with a matchup against LaGrange on Nov. 2 at home before traveling to Mobile to face off against South Alabama on Nov. 5, followed by a trip out west to take on the Houston Cougars on Nov. 11.
Head coach Ray Harper's squad will then return home on Nov. 14 to another in-state foe in UAB. Following the contest against the Blazers, Jax State will travel to Louisiana Tech on Nov. 17 for the first leg of a home and home series this season.
On Nov. 20, Georgia State will travel to Jacksonville to take on the Gamecocks before Harper's squad heads out to Las Vegas for the Resorts World Classic from Nov. 25-27. Jax State will play Pacific, UC Davis and Omaha, respectively.
Following the Thanksgiving week tournament, the Gamecocks will play four straight home games against Little Rock (Dec. 1), Louisiana Tech (Dec. 6), ETSU (Dec. 12) and Reinhardt (Dec. 16). Jax State's matchup against Reinhardt will be the Kid's Day game, with tip-off at 11 a.m. Finally, the Gamecocks will wrap up the nonconference schedule by traveling to Wichita State on Dec. 21.
Jax State will begin Conference USA play on Dec. 31 with a home game against Middle Tennessee.
