2011: Saw action in 52 of the Gamecocks’ 61 games as a true freshman, earning the start in 21 of them…hit .197 and was 3-for-4 in stolen bases…recorded her first career hit in her collegiate debut against UAB on Feb. 11, a game that also saw her steal a base and score a run…had two hits in a game twice, vs. Central Michigan on Feb. 19 and at Jacksonville on Feb. 20.

HIGH SCHOOL: Played six seasons at Scottsboro High School for coach Cindy Patterson…was a First Team All-State second baseman as a senior by the Alabama Sportswriters Association after batting .492 with seven doubles, nine triples, two home runs and 21 RBI…posted a .566 on-base percentage and a .972 fielding percentage…also named to all-state teams by the Birmingham News and Huntsville Times…led the Wildcats to a 42-16 record and the Area Championship…an all-area player in 2008, 2009 and 2010, was a two-time Gold Glove winner and a three-time team captain…also earned the Stolen Base Award in her last three seasons with more than 50 steals each year…led SHS to four area titles…in her career, hit .418 with 14 triples and 175 stolen bases…was also a three-time all-area basketball player for the Wildcats and led them to an area title…played travel softball with Tiffany Harbin and Hayden Crawford for the Huntsville Sparks…also played for the Birmingham Vipers.

PERSONAL: Born on August 16, 1992, in Huntsville, Ala…the daughter of Bryan Horton and Eugenia Branford…has three younger sisters, Yolandra Joyner, Brianna Horton and Layla Horton …is undecided on a major at JSU.
