JSU CAREER
(2014): Made 11 starts behind the dish in his first season with the program…saw action in 17 games…made his JSU debut against Northwestern State (2/15)…threw out 12 base runners on the base paths…hit .231 on the season with 39 plate appearances…registered his first Gamecock hit against UT Martin (3/8)…went 2-for-4 with a leadoff home run in the sixth inning at Austin Peay (3/22)…turned in a 3-for-5 day versus Eastern Illinois (3/29) and drove in a pair of runs.
 
JUNIOR COLLEGE: Played at Central Alabama Community College under head coach Wynn Fletcher prior to transferring to JSU.
 
HIGH SCHOOL: Played at Boaz High School under head coach Nick Dixon…named honorable mention all-state in 2009 and 2010…named first-team all-district as a junior and senior and second-team all-district as a freshman and sophomore…also named first-team all-county all four years of high school…batted .400 with six home runs as a senior…also lettered in football.
 
PERSONAL: Full name is Daniel Gaither…son of Lisa Roebuck and the late Kevin Gaither…born on December 3, 1991…has one older brother, Keith…lists the Atlanta Braves as his favorite Major League Baseball team and Ivan Rodriguez as his favorite player…majoring in Liberal Studies at JSU.
