JSU CAREER:
2017: Appeared in 11 games for the Gamecocks as a junior … drove in five runs and recorded a pair of doubles…had two RBI against Houston Baptist on Feb. 12 … was perfect in the field for the Gamecocks, not committing an error in her playing time at third base.

2016: Appeared in 35 games for the Gamecocks while starting 25 of them…batted .185 with one double and four RBI…successful in her only stolen base attempt of the season…hit .300 in 19 OVC games while also having a .400 slugging percentage and .417 on base percentage in those games…finished with a 1.000 fielding percentage in conference games.

2015: Appeared in 17 games for the Gamecocks and started nine of them…batted .125 with one home run and three RBI…hit a pinch-hit, two-run home run in JSU’s game against Alabama State on April 7…hit .222 in five OVC games.

HIGH SCHOOL: Played at Pelham High School for head coach Amy Sullivan…an honorable mention all-state selection for Class 6A in her senior season, when she hit .416 and led the Panthers in home runs for the second consecutive season…an all-metro selection in each her junior and senior seasons…named MVP of the AHSAA North-South All-Star Game after going 2-for-3 with a three-run home run…named the Class 6A Player of the week twice…played alongside JSU pitcher/infielder Whitney Gillespie at PHS.
 
PERSONAL: Full name is Caitlyn Abigail Sapp…born on Oct. 24, 1995, in Helena, Ala…the daughter of Murray and Pam Sapp…has two sister, Hannah and Sarah Grace…majoring in child development at JSU.
