JSU CAREER:
(2015): Played in 15 games as a junior and started in seven contests…finished with seven hits on the season, including a pair of hits against Youngstown State (2/14/15), including a double in the opening series of the season…turned in a pair of hits in JSU’s 10-9 win over Auburn (3/1/15)…reached base six times against the Tigers with the two hits and four walks…posted nine putouts against SIU Edwardsville (3/8/15).

(2014): Saw action in nine games and started in the outfield in two early contests (Northwestern State, 2/16) and (Valparaiso, 2/22)…scored two runs as a sophomore against Valpo (2/21) and at South Alabama (2/25)…credited with a pair of walks in the Valpo contest (2/22) along with a stolen base.

(2013): Appeared in 33 games with 14 starts in the outfield as a true freshman…finished the season batting .175 with 11 hits, five RBI, and nine walks…made his first career start in the outfield against UAB (2/19) and went 2-for-3 with a stolen base…also went 2-for-4 with an RBI against Tennessee Tech (4/20)…drove in two runs against Southern Illinois (2/22).
 
HIGH SCHOOL: Played for Jeff Mauldin at Pelham High School…was a four-year letterman…batted .345 as a junior in 2011 and .412 as a senior in 2012…was named offensive most valuable player and team MVP in 2012…he was named first-team all-district and all-region in 2012…played for the North Team in the 2011 North/South All-Star game…also lettered in football.
 
PERSONAL: Full name is Robert Towler Pierce…son of Bill and Freida Pierce…born on April 11, 1994…has two younger brothers, Jack and Will…Jack joined the JSU program this season as a freshman…his father, Bill, played college football at Alabama and Arkansas and his grandad played football at Georgia Tech…lists the Atlanta Braves as his favorite Major League team and Mike Trout as his favorite player…majoring in business management at JSU.
