Biography

JSU CAREER: 2017: Saw action in seven games and tallied seven total tackles…collected a season-high three solo stops against Liberty (9/23)…added two more tackles versus Ohio Valley Conference foe Murray State (11/4).

2016: Appeared in five games…recorded a tackle against LSU on Sept. 10…credited with a second tackle on the season against Eastern Illinois on Oct. 29.

2015: Saw action in three games…made his JSU debut Sept. 19 against Tennessee State…finished the season with one tackle which came versus TSU. 

2014: Sat out the season as a redshirt.

HIGH SCHOOL: Played at Robertsdale High School for Bryan Campbell…finished with 53 tackles, 23 tackles for loss and seven sacks as a senior to earn All-County honors…also lettered in track, where he was named team MVP and also earned all-district and All-Region honors…chose Jax State over UAB, South Alabama and Alabama State.

PERSONAL: Full name is Emmanuel Alexander Fennell…born September 14, 1995, in Portsmouth, Va…the son of Anthony and Kenya Young…has one sister, Champ…majoring in education at JSU.
