Biography

JSU CAREER:
2019: Appeared in all 12 games, starting the final seven as a redshirt-sophomore for the Gamecocks…blocked for the top offense in the Ohio Valley Conference, one that gained 419 yards per game…helped protect a JSU passing game that led the OVC and ranked 14th nationally with 296 yards per game.
 
2018: Played in 11 games on the offensive front for the Gamecocks as a redshirt freshman, starting the season opener against North Carolina A&T in Montgomery…part of an offensive front that paved the way for one of the most prolific attacks in school history…led JSU to 6,465 total yards, the third-most in a season in school-history, as well as a school-record 3,864 passing yards…helped JSU score 520 points, third-most in school history.
 
2017: Sat out the season as a redshirt freshman.
 
HIGH SCHOOL: Listed as a three-star recruit by 247Sports.com and a two-star recruit by Scout and Rivals…prepped for head coach Duron Sutton at Ridgeway High School in Memphis…named to the Liberty Bowl All-Star Team after his senior season…earned first team all-district honors and first team All-Region honors in each his junior and senior seasons…led the Roadrunners to the Tennessee State Playoffs in each season…chose JSU over offers from Marshall, Southeast Missouri, Southeastern Louisiana, Southern Miss, Tennessee State, UT Martin and Tulane.
 
PERSONAL: Born on Oct. 14, 1998 in Memphis, Tenn…the son of Kimberly Slocum and Tyrese Slocum, Sr...majoring in management at JSU.
