HIGH SCHOOL: A three-star recruit…played for head coach Rod Carson at Carver High School in Birmingham, Ala…a second-team all-state selection by the Alabama Sports Writers Association as a senior after being named his team’s Offensive Most Valuable Player…led the Rams to the AHSAA Class 6A Playoffs in his senior season, its first appearance in 14 years…chose the Gamecocks over several offers that include Georgia Southern, South Alabama, Arkansas State, Army, Samford, Troy, UAB and Southern Illinois.
