JAX STATE CAREER:
2024:
Made the John Mackey Award Watch List...Started and played 13 games...Finished with 11 catches for 181 yards and three touchdowns...Had first score of the season on an 11-yard reception in the second quarter at Louisville (9/7)...Took a pass 56 yards down the middle of the field for a touchdown against FIU (11/16) to give Jax State the lead in the fourth quarter...Caught a six-yard touchdown pass in Conference USA Championship for the Gamecocks' first points of the game...Missed the bowl game due to injury.

2023: On the watch list for the John Mackey Award … one of the Gamecocks’ top offensive players, earning Second Team All-CUSA honors … named the CUSA Tight End of the Year by College Football Network … appeared in every game for the Gamecocks as a redshirt-junior, serving as a top blocker in the run game as well as a top target in the passing game … blocked for the fifth-best rushing offense in FBS, while catching 18 passes for 292 yards and a team-high five touchdowns … named the Mackey Award National Tight end of the Week after five catches for 103 yards and a score against Middle Tennessee … had two touchdown catches at South Carolina.

2022: Saw action in 10 games and was the Gamecocks’ second-leading receiver with 18 catches for 331 yards and a score…was also a key blocker for the No. 5 rushing offense in the FCS this season…in ASUN games, he was Jax State’s top target, grabbing a second-best nine catches for a team-high 171 yards...a big-play threat from the tight end position, hauled in seven catches of over 20 yards, averaging 18.4 yards per catch overall and 19.0 yards per catch in league games.

2021: One of only three Gamecocks with multiple receiving touchdowns during his first season at JSU…a transfer from Tennessee, Brown led all ASUN tight ends with 13 receptions for 192 yards and a pair of touchdowns…averaged 14.8 yards per catch and caught two touchdown passes in the Gamecocks’ Nov. 13 win over Abilene Christian…matched his season best with three catches for a new career-high 57 yards in the season finale at Eastern Kentucky…named to the inaugural ASUN all-conference football team following the season.

PRIOR TO JAX STATE: (Tennessee) 2020: Did not see action. 

2019: Redshirted after playing in two games…made debut in UT’s 45-0 victory over Chattanooga on Sept. 14…also saw action against Vanderbilt on Nov. 30…named 2019-20 First-Year SEC Academic Honor Roll

HIGH SCHOOL: 2018 Coaches All-Region 7-AA selection…2017 Georgia Sports Writers Association Class AA All-State Second Team selection…2017 Rome News-Tribune All-Area First-Team selection…helped lead Coosa High School to the Georgia Class AA state playoffs in 2018…played both tight end and defensive line…in his third game back from injury and Coosa’s regular season finale, recovered two fumbles, forced a fumble, made six tackles and rushed for 22 yards on three carries to help Coosa secure a playoff spot…also played basketball.

PERSONAL: Full name is Sean Patrick Brown…born April 17, 2001…son of Richard and Jenni Brown…has one sister, Jacey.
