JAX STATE CAREER:
2023: Appeared in the final 11 games of the season as a reserve at the defensive end position … credited with 14 tackles, including one sack and 1.5 tackles for a loss … had a season-high four tackles against East Tennessee State, while also forcing a fumble and getting a sack in the game.
2022: Played in seven games as a first-year Gamecock…finished with eight tackles on the season…posted a season-high three stops against Southeastern Louisiana.
PRIOR TO JAX STATE: Spent the 2020 and 2021 seasons at Troy University in Troy, Ala., where he played for head coach Chip Lindsey…saw action as a reserve for the Trojans in 2021 after sitting out the 2020 season.
HIGH SCHOOL: A three-star prospect by 247Sports and ESPN out of Loganville High School in Loganville, Ga…prepped for head coach Mike Humphreys at LHS, where he was rated as one of the top 110 players in the country at his position by 247Sports and one of the top 150 players by ESPN…registered 72 tackles, four sacks, six hurries three forced fumbles and a pair of pass break ups as a senior…selected to play in the Offense-Defense All-American Bowl in Daytona Beach and GACA North/South All-Star Classic following his junior and senior seasons…also played basketball for the Red Devils.
PERSONAL: Born Oct. 31, 2002…the son of Kim and David Blythers…has one brother, Xavier, and one sister, Skylar.
