JSU CAREER
2022-23: Roberts shined as one of the bright spots in a tough year for the Gamecocks…the true freshman appeared in all 31 games for JSU and made nine starts throughout the season…in one of the closer games to his hometown he scored a season-high 15 points off the bench at East Tennessee State on Dec. 3…he made his first career start the next game at Utah finishing with eight points, a block and two rebounds…averaged 3.5 points per game in just under 12 minutes of action per game…his 23 three-pointers were fourth-most on a team led by seniors Demaree King’s school-record 103 triples…Roberts completed his rookie year with 109 points, 39 rebounds, 14 assists and seven steals. Â
HIGH SCHOOLÂ
Prepped at Bishop Walsh School in Cumberland, Md., where he was listed as one of the top high school prospects in the state…his team-high 24 points helped the BWS Spartans beat MaxPreps No. 11 Wasatch, 78-68, in the Bob Kirk Invitational Showcase at Allegany College of Maryland…a versatile player, in his final prep game he put up 17 points with five rebounds, three assists, three blocks and two steals…chose JSU over offers from Georgetown, Bryant and Fresno State among others.
