2009 OUTLOOK: Adds depth to the catching position…has done a great job working in the bullpen and getting the pitchers prepared…could help team with his bat this season…has a very good and positive attitude.

SUMMER BASEBALL: Played for Roberto Martinez of the East Alabama Big Train in the Great South League in 2008.

JSU CAREER: (2008) As a junior, saw limited action and appeared in seven games…did not record a hit in just three at-bats.

JUNIOR COLLEGE: Played for Ed Langham at Bevill State Community College in Sumiton, Ala…finished his sophomore year with a .301 batting average with five home runs and 46 RBI.

HIGH SCHOOL: Played for Ricky Adams at Victory Christian…was named team Most Valuable Player as a senior after leading team with a .395 batting average…also named team MVP as a junior…helped the Lions to three consecutive Area Championships.

PERSONAL: Full name is Tyler Marshall McGrady…born on July 2, 1987…son of David and Monnica McGrady…has one younger sister, Kari…lists Ivan Rodriguez has his favorite Major League Player…majoring in Exercise Science at JSU.
