Biography

JSU CAREER:
2019: Made appearances in 10 games in his second year as a Gamecock receiver...caught four passes for 24 yards with his longest reception of eight yards coming on his first career reception against Murray State...had his first multi-catch day against Tennessee Tech with two catches for 11 yards...also had one rush for 11 yards and made four tackles on the year.
 
2018: Made two appearances in his first year at wide receiver for the Gamecocks on Sept. 22 against Tennessee Tech and on Oct. 13 against Eastern Illinois.
 
HIGH SCHOOL: Lettered four years at Oxford High School for head coach Ryan Herring…led the Yellow Jackets to region championships in 2016 and 2017…caught seven touchdown passes his senior year in 2017…totaled 20 career touchdowns…also lettered in tack two seasons…was sectional champion his senior season in the 4x1.

PERSONAL: Born Aug. 4, 2000 in in Anniston, Ala…son of Monica Lee and Dave Russell, Jr…has four sisters - Monique, Nisy, Kandy and Keyona…majoring in exercise science and wellness at JSU.
