2011: Saw action in three games and recorded three tackles against Ohio Valley Conference competition … had an assisted and solo stop against Tennessee Tech … made his Jax State debut against Chattanooga … credited with a tackle in the Austin Peay contest.

2010: Sat out the season as a redshirt.

PREVIOUS SCHOOL: Played at Air Force Prep School, where he passed for more than 1,800 yards and 16 touchdowns as a freshman and also rushed for more than 600 yards and eight touchdowns.

HIGH SCHOOL: Played at Webster Groves High School in St. Louis for Cliff Ice, where he earned all-Metro and all-State honors after throwing for 2,299 yards and 19 touchdowns with just three interceptions as a senior in 2007…passed for more than 6,150 yards and 57 passing touchdowns, along with 20 rushing touchdowns…also earned all-conference honors on a state championship basketball team…was an honor roll student and academic award winner.

PERSONAL: Full name is Mikel Deloch Whittier…son of Cynathia Ingram and Michael Whittier…born on January 25, 1990…has one younger brother, Johnny, and two younger sister, Jolissa and Jakini…majoring in biology and chemistry at JSU.
