JSU CAREER: Fall 2020/Spring 2021: Started in three of the 13 games played in his third full year with the Gamecocks... made 15 receptions on the year for 163 yards and two touchdowns, including his first career score in the fall against North Alabama on October 17... his longest reception of the year and his career came against the Panthers of Eastern Illinois on April 3 for 44 yards...also picked up 12 punt return yards to finish the year with 175 all-purpose yards.

2019: Appeared in eight games as a sophomore, including seven straight beginning against North Alabama...made three receptions on the year, including the first of his career which was also his longest of the season at 10 yards in the season-opener against Southeast Louisiana... finished the year with 19 total receiving yards.

2018: Made appearances in eight games as a cornerback for the Gamecocks... Picked up his first tackle in a JSU uniform against UT-Martin on Nov. 3... Picked up one more in the same game to earn a career high in tackles for a single contest.

2017: Sat out the season as a redshirt.

HIGH SCHOOL: Played for head coach Andro Williams at Linden High School in Linden, Ala…led the Patriots to a 14-1 record and undefeated 7-0 in the region in 2016…twice named to the All-State First Team…All-County Player of the Year…named to Super II Football Team…scored five touchdowns to lead Linden to the AHSAA 1A Semifinals…advanced to the AHSAA 1A Final Four…received 2016 All-Coastal Alabama Football Team Honorable Mention…named Mobile/Coastal Alabama Player of the Week by AL.com on Nov. 23, 2016 and Tuscaloosa News Player of the Week on Nov. 22, 2015.

PERSONAL: Born on Dec. 4, 1998…the son of Dewayne and Lablinka Charleston…has four brothers – Dewayne, Jr., Dewoyne, Derente and CJ, and one sister – Tia…majoring in physical education at JSU.
