JSU CAREER: 2018: Made appearances in all 13 games in his first year in a Gamecock uniform...recorded 22 tackles on the year, including 12 solo...led the team in yards from tackles for loss with 55 on 9.5 tackles stops...also ranked second on the team in sacks with 5 for a total loss of 40 yards...also recovered a fumble on Nov. 24 against East Tennessee State in the 2018 FCS Playoffs…picked up a quarterback hurry against Austin Peay on Sept. 28...his first tackle as a Gamecock was also his first sack and came on Sept. 22 against Tennessee Tech…had a career day against East Tennessee State in the Playoffs, recording five tackles, three solo, with two sacks for a loss of 14 yards.

PRIOR TO JSU: Played the 2016 and 2017 seasons at Auburn University and served as a key special teams performer for the Tigers…played in every game in 2016 and in four games in 2017…saw first career action against Clemson on special teams Sept. 3, 2016…recorded three tackles, TFL against Alabama A&M on Nov. 19, 2016.

HIGH SCHOOL: Two-year all-county and second team all-state section…recorded 252 tackles, 26 TFL, 12 sacks, 29 QB hurries, 3 forced fumbles, 4 fumble recoveries, 1 interception and scored two defensive touchdowns for Coach Ben Blackmon at Spanish Fort High…Toros were 15-0 and won 6A state title…Under Armour All-America Game…USA Today, MaxPreps All-America…Rivals top 15 ILB…ESPN top 20 OLB…USA Today All-State…also a baseball and track letterman…active in Fellowship of Christian Athletes.

PERSONAL: Son of Wendy Smith and Shantee’ Threat…has two siblings, Aaron and Kaylie…birthday is October 21.
