JSU CAREER:
2015: Appeared in three games in the circle for the Gamecocks as a junior, starting one of them, before suffering a season-ending injury which ended her season after the Feb. 8 game at Mercer…threw 7.1 innings and compiled a 0-1 record and a 6.68 ERA…struck out three batters and only walked one…did not allow a run, walk or hit in her two-inning season-debut against IPFW.

2014: Appeared in nine games for the Gamecocks as a sophomore and started seven games in the circle…posted a 4-2 record and a 6.22 earned run average…was in the circle for 27 innings and held opposing hitters to a .288 batting average…opened the year with a bang, tossing her first career no-hitter in an 8-0 win over Mississippi Valley State on Opening Day, one that followed a Tiffany Harbin no-no of Northern Kentucky earlier in the day…was the first time JSU has tossed two no-hitters in the same day…struck out a season-high four batters against MVSU later in the month on Feb. 21.
 
2013: Appeared in 16 games as a true freshman in 2012…posted a 3-6 record while making eight starts…threw five complete games while leading the team with two saves…struck out 25 batters in 49 innings of work…compiled a 5.00 earned run averaged on the season…earned her first career win in her first start against Louisiana Tech…struck out a career best eight batters against Sam Houston State on Feb. 15.
 
HIGH SCHOOL: Played at Bowling Green High School under head coach Jim Cress…helped lead the Bobcats to a district championship in 2011…was named team MVP in 2010, 2011 and 2012…she was named second-team all-district in 2010, 2011 and 2012…as a senior in 2012, finished with a 15-10 record, striking out 201 batters in 152.2 innings pitched and posted an earned run average of 2.48…also hit .500 (46-for-92) for the year, driving in 20 runs and stealing 21 bases…finished her junior year in 2011 with a 16-8 record, striking out 151 batters in 156.3 innings pitched and posted an ERA of 1.94…also batted .393 (35-for-89)with 10 RBI and 21 stolen bases…finished her high school career with 16 career shut-outs, 48 stolen bases, a school record 555 strikeouts and 16 triples…played travel ball with the Ohio Classics in 2011 and 2012.
 
PERSONAL: Born on October 16, 1993, in Toledo, Ohio…the daughter of Richard and Julia Akenberger…has one older brother, Zachary, who played football at Bowling Green State University, and two sisters: Jamie, who is on the swim team at Florida Gulf Coast University, and Morgan…is majoring in exercise science and wellness at JSU.
