Biography

2009: Started 55 of the Gamecocks’ 59 games as a junior and was one of the most productive hitters in the OVC…was a first team All-OVC selection after posting a .364 average and leading the league with 68 hits and 49 runs scored…had 12 doubles, three triples and 10 home runs to account for a .620 slugging percentage…drove in 28 runs and walked 23 times to help her .441 on base percentage…was named the OVC Player of the Week on March 30 after a week that saw her go 6-for-14 with three home runs and six RBI against Chattanooga and UT Martin…in OVC play, hit .382 with six doubles, two triples and five home runs for a .750 slugging percentage…committed just two errors in the field…tied the school record for homers in a game with two against Eastern Illinois on May 8 in the OVC Tournament…recorded 17 multi-hit games, including two four-hit games…in the OVC Tournament, went 6-for-10 with two homers and three RBI…went 4-for-4 with two doubles and two steals against Middle Tennessee on April 28.

2008: Played in all 56 games for the Gamecocks as a sophomore…hit .316 with 13 home runs, 10 doubles and 35 RBI to earn First Team All-OVC honors…her 0.23 homers per game ranked 61st nationally…had a .351 on base percentage and a .587 slugging percentage…in OVC play, hit .365 with seven home runs, 19 RBI and seven doubles…had a 15-game hitting streak than stretched from April 17-May 15, tying teammate Courtney Underwood for the longest by any OVC player in 2008…led the Gamecocks with 19 multi-hit games, including three with three hits, and was second on the team with 12 multi-RBI outings…tied the JSU record for RBI in a game when she drove in six at Samford on March 26, a game that saw her go 3-for-4 with a school-record-tying two home runs…in the game, she hit a grand slam and a two-run homer, both in the third inning, the only JSU player to homer twice in the same inning…went 2-for-2 with a home run, a double and two RBI in a 10-1 win over Florida State in the NCAA Tuscaloosa Regional on May 16.

2007: Started all 58 games in center field for the Gamecocks as a true freshman...earned All-Newcomer and second team All-OVC honors after finishing the season tied for second on the team with 11 home runs and was third with 29 RBI…her 106 total bases were second on the quad…her 11 homers tied for the 9th highest total in a season in school history…had 197 at bats, the fourth-most by a player in JSU history, and had 61 hits, 12 doubles, scored 61 runs…had a .538 slugging percentage and a .363 on base percentage…in 27 OVC games, hit .362 with six homers, 18 RBI and six doubles…had 19 multi-hit games, including two three-hit performances and a four hit outing against Samford on April 11, a game in which she homered, doubled and drove in four runs…homered in three-straight games from March 3-6…was 3-for-3 with a homer, double and three RBI on March 24 at Eastern Kentucky…had her other three-hit performance onApril 25 at Birmingham-Southern…had seven mutli-RBI games.

HIGH SCHOOL: Played six years for head coach Audra Thomas at East Paulding High School in Dallas, Ga…boasted a .420 batting average as a senior at EPHS to help her to first team all-state honors and Georgia Player of the Year accolades…was a four-time all-region performer and played in the Georgia High School All-Star Game following her senior season…earned the National Scholar Athlete Award…as a junior, hit .437 with four home runs and 18 RBI, while scoring 24 runs…played travel softball for coach Roger Kinkade and the Xtreme Mavricks, where she hit .390 in her last season…also lettered in track and basketball at EPHS.

PERSONAL: Born on May 5, 1988, in Atlanta…the daughter of Glenn and Janis O’Neal…graduated from East Paulding High School in Dallas, Ga., with a 3.7 GPA…plans to major in criminal justice.
