JAX STATE CAREER:
2023: Missed much of the season due to an injury suffered in preseason and appeared in three games at cornerback … made his season debut at FIU and recorded a tackle … also played against South Carolina and LA Tech.

2022: Played all 11 games for Jax State in its final FCS season and started the final nine contests…recorded a career best 36 tackles, including 19 solo takedowns…had a season-high six tackles in the ASUN-clinching win at Central Arkansas on Nov. 19 where he also recovered his first career fumble…intercepted his second career pass at Nicholls on Sept. 24 and scored his first career touchdown on a 69-yard return of a blocked field goal attempt at Austin Peay on Oct. 29 for JSU’s first blocked field goal returned for a touchdown since 2008…was the only Gamecock to finish with a recovered fumble, interception and touchdown in 2022. 

2021: Appeared in 10 games finishing the season with 28 tackles…had 13 solo stops and another 15 assisted takedowns…pulled down his first career interception in the second half at Florida State on Sept.11, before JSU rallied to stun the Seminoles 20-17…led the Gamecocks with a career-high seven tackles at No. 1 Sam Houston on Oct. 23. 

FALL 2020/SPRING 2021: Made two starts in four games played in his first season with the Gamecocks…recorded three solo tackles on the season with the first two of his career coming against Tennessee Tech on February 28…finished the season with three unassisted stops and a pass breakup.

HIGH SCHOOL: Prepped for head coach Adrian Abrams at Minor High School in Birmingham…helped lead the Tigers to back-to-back appearances in the AHSAA Class 6A Playoffs in his junior and senior seasons…also a star sprinter on the MHS track team, qualifying for the state meet.

PERSONAL: Born on Aug. 2, 2001, in Birmingham, Ala…the son of Dhelecia Jemison…has an older brother – Ja’leon…majoring in kinesiology at JSU.
