Biography

2009: Appeared in 56 of the Gamecocks’ 59 games as a junior, starting 55 of them…hit .236 with three home runs and 14 RBI on the year while stealing 10 bases in 10 tries…had a .321 on-base percentage and a .313 slugging percentage on the year…had six multi-hit games, including a season-best 3-for-3 effort against South Alabama on March 19…belted a grand slam against Southeast Missouri on April 5.

2008: Started all 56 games for the Gamecocks at shortstop as a sophomore…put together a .244 average with seven home runs, 23 RBI, six doubles and 33 runs scored…had 100 defensive assists, second on the team…was hit by a pitch a team-high three times…hit a grand slam against Eastern Kentucky on April 5 to account for a season-high four RBI…In OVC play, hit .316 with four homers and 14 RBI…hit a walk-off, two-run home run in the eighth inning to beat South Alabama on Feb. 8.

2007: Appeared in 49 of the Gamecocks’ 58 games as a true freshman, starting 22 games at shortstop, 20 at second base and two in left field…hit .241 with four doubles, a triple, three home runs, 22 runs cored and 16 RBI and had a .320 on base percentage…stole four bases in five attempts…in 26 OVC games, hit .261 with three homers and 12 RBI…had a seven-game hitting streak that stretched from March 18 to March 31…recorded six multi-hit games and three multi-RBI games…drove in a season-high three runs on April 28 vs. UT Martin…hit her first collegiate home run on March 17 against Morehead State…in her collegiate debut on Feb. 11, went 2-for-3 with a double, an RBI and a stolen base against Alabama State.

HIGH SCHOOL: Played five seasons for head coach Carrie Yancey at Southside High School in Southside, Ala…was a first team all-state selection as a senior after hitting .467 with six home runs and 19 stolen bases…a first team all-area performer in each her sophomore, junior and senior seasons…was the Most Valuable Player in the 2006 county tournament as a senior…was a career.460 hitter at SHS, where she averaged 18 stolen bases per year…played travel softball for the Alabama Raiders and CS Express…hit .390 in 2005 after boasting a .345 average in 2004, a .350 clip in 2003 and a .300 average in 2002.

PERSONAL: Born on August 30, 1988, in Gadsden, Ala…the daughter of Melton and Karen Ledbetter…has one sister, Melissa…is majoring in elementary education at JSU.
