JAX STATE CAREER:
2023: Second-Team All-CUSA Offensive Lineman … started every game at center for the Gamecocks … the anchor in the middle of Jax State’s offensive line … led an offensive line that led the Gamecocks to fifth-best rushing offense in FBS through the regular season … helped pave the way for an offense that is averaging 232.2 yards per game on the ground and has run for at least 140 in every game but one in 2023, including seven games with more than 200 yards and a CUSA-record 522 rushing yards against LA Tech.
2022: Named All-Conferene by the ASUN Conference...made 10 starts and played in all 11 games on a Jax State line that’s offense racked up more than 4,600 yards of offense and scored 36 points per game en route to an ASUN Conference championship…started the season opener at left tackle versus Stephen F. Austin, but made his next nine starts filling in at center for the injury Zach Cangelosi…Jax State’s offense rushed for more than 150 yards per game led all FCS programs with 28 rushing TDs once inside the red zone.
2021: Made four starts at right guard and played in eight games total on the offensive line for JSU…a key reserve-turned-starter was part of the line unit that opened holes for three 200-yard rushing games including the upset win at Florida State on Sept. 11…blocked for an offense that gained more than 350 total yards in six games with a season-high 497 gained in the win against Abilene Christian.
Fall 2020/Spring 2021: Appeared in eight of the nine contests played in the spring 2021 season in his first year with the Gamecocks... part of an offensive line unit that blocked for the top offense in the Ohio Valley Conference, one that gained 384 yards per game... helped protect a Jax State passing game that led the OVC and ranked 28 nationally in total offense with 4,993 yards on the year.
HIGH SCHOOL: Played the 2018 season for Fork Union Military Academy in Fork Union, Va…led his team to a perfect 9-0 record and paved the way for an offense that put up over 30 points in all but two games…played his senior season of high school at Mallard Creek High School in Charlotte…played at Byrnes High School in his home state of South Carolina prior to that…played on the USA Football Under-18 National Team.
PERSONAL: Born on June 6, 2000, in Shelby, N.C…the son of Freddie and Alveta Brown…majoring in sports management at JSU.
