2011-12: Sat out due to NCAA transfer rules.
Prior To JSU: Started her career at Stetson University in DeLand, Fla….played as a freshman in 2009-10 and a sophomore in 2010-11…made 59 appearances for the Hatters in two seasons, including 14 starts as a freshman… averaged 3.3 points and 1.6 rebounds per game...led the Hatters with 33 steals and ranked third on the squad with 36 assists...scored nine points on three separate occasions (Nov. 14 at Florida, Dec. 29 vs. Buffalo and Jan. 2 at Lipscomb)...seven points and five assists vs. Belmont (Feb. 18)...eight points, four rebounds and four steals in Feb. 20 win over Lipscomb that clinched Stetson's spot in the Atlantic-Sun tournament…played in 29 games as a sophomore and dished out 21 assists and matched her career high with six rebounds against Florida State (Dec. 30).
High School: Team captain and an honor roll student for Head Coach Tony Bannister at Potter's House Christian Academy in Jacksonville...also played for Bannister in AAU basketball for the Jacksonville Lady Rams...led the PCHA Lions deep into the state tournament as well as the NCSAA national tournaments the last two years...also garnered a National Association of Christian Athletes (NACA) All-Tournament Team award.
Personal: Full name is Dashauna Truss…The daughter of James Truss, Jr. and Renee McGraw…born on August 22, 1991 in East Elmhurst, N.Y. … majoring in sociology…has one younger brother, James Truss, III.
