JSU CAREER:
2016-17: Averaged 9.2 minutes in 25 games off the bench … averaged 2.2 points, 1.3 assists, 0.8 rebounds and 0.5 steals during the season … scored 10 points on 4-of-5 shooting in 22 minutes against Brewton-Parker on Nov. 29 before having a season-high 11-point effort in 18 minutes against Nicholls State on Dec. 18, which includes a trio of three-point baskets … played a season-high 25 minutes at Eastern Illinois on Dec. 21 … went 3 for 3 from the field and 2 of 4 from the free throw line for a 9-point game in only 10 minutes during the Gamecocks’ season finale at Morehead State on Feb. 25 … scored in 13 total games …
 
2015-16: Sat out the season as a redshirt.

2014-15: Made an immediate impact off the Gamecock bench as a freshman guard...saw action in all 29 games and averaged nine minutes of playing time...scored her first collegiate points in the second game of the year in JSU’s upset of Alabama (11/18)...added eight points against Wofford (11/25)...turned in a season-high 14-point effort against Mercer (12/29) following the holiday break...drained 5-of-10 from the field, including a trio of three pointers in just 23 minutes of action...also dished out six assists in the contest...was named OVC Freshman of the Week after the performance against Mercer...followed that contest with seven points in her OVC debut at SIU Edwardsville (1/1)...added six points in the overtime win against Murray State (1/10)...pulled down four rebounds against Charleston Southern (12/19)...credited with three steals at Kennesaw State (12/13)...earned 2014-15 OVC Medal of Honor status after turning in a 4.0 grade point average for the academic year and was named to the OVC Commissioner’s Honor Roll.

HIGH SCHOOL: A local product from Woodland, Ala. and just an hour drive from the JSU campus...claimed the Alabama Sports Writers Association’s 2A State Player of the Year after claiming back-to-back Class 2A State Championships at Woodland High School…also received the Bryant-Jordan scholar-athlete award for 2A…averaged 22.6 points, eight rebounds, seven steals and five assists in leading WHS to its second consecutive state title and a 34-1 record in 2013-14…finished her career with 4,561 points, second her sister Courtney Strain on the AHSAA all-time list…named to Al.com A-List, which recognizes the top-10 players in the state…was a highly touted guard in the state of Alabama…ranked as one of the top 100 players in the country according to ESPN…a multi-year All-State performer, averaged 21.5 points, 7 rebounds and 5.2 assists per game in her junior season while leading WHS to a 34-2 record and the school's first-ever state title in 2012-13…coached by her father, Larry Strain…since playing on the varsity squad since the eighth grade, Strain has scored over 3,700 points…enters her senior season at WHS with 3,770 career points, which ranks sixth all time in the Alabama High School Athletic Association…has etched her name alongside her sister in the AHSAA record book…entered her final season at WHS ranked among the all-time best on the prep level in the state…ranks fourth in the AHSAA career field goals list with 1,370 and third in free throws made in a career with 929.  She owns the state mark for career steals with 916…her 907 points scored in 2010-11 is listed 14th-best all time in the state of Alabama for a single season…comfortable with the confines of Pete Mathews Coliseum on the JSU campus as a multi-year participant in the Northeast Regional, hosted by JSU.
