Biography

JSU CAREER: 2022: Started in 54 of the 55 games of his junior season…Batted for a .317 average in 205 at bats…scored 45 runs and hit eight home runs for the Gamecocks…had a .426 on base percentage and a .512 slugging percentage…stole eight bases as well on the season…in ASUN play had a game-high three hits in four games…had a high of three RBIs on Apr. 23 and May 14 against Lipscomb then against Central Arkansas…accumulated a high of two doubles against Lipscomb on Mar. 18…scored a total of three runs in two ASUN contests, first against North Alabama on Mar. 25 then again on Apr. 9 against Central Arkansas…tallied a high of five putouts against ASUN foe Eastern Kentucky on May 8…added an assist on Apr. 2 also against Eastern Kentucky...earned a spot on the 2022 All-ASUN Second Team.

PRIOR TO JSU: Played three season at the University of Alabama…made an immediate impact with the Crimson Tide as a first-year player after seeing action in 48 games with 39 starts, coming on strong in the second half of the 2019 season…tied for the UA lead in runs (37) and stolen bases (9) while ranking second in home runs (9) and slugging (.482) and finishing third in walks (30) against all opponents…paced the Crimson Tide in runs (19), walks (20) and stolen bases (6) while tying for the lead in home runs (5) during his 29 games of action (26 starts) in SEC play…made 15 starts in his second season (2020) with the Crimson Tide…posted a .229 (19-83) average with four doubles and two home runs in 2021…contributed eight RBI, nine runs scored and six walks to go with one stolen base.

HIGH SCHOOL: Attended Hueytown High School in Birmingham…the top-rated outfielder in the state and the No. 5 overall prospect from Alabama according to Perfect Game USA…ranked as the No. 50 outfielder in the 2018 class by PG…rated the No. 11 MLB Draft prospect in the state of Alabama for the 2018 draft by Baseball America…selected as a Collegiate Baseball News Second Team All-American following his senior season…earned 2018 First Team All-Class 6A Alabama state honors from the Alabama Sports Writers Association (ASWA)…Helped HHS to the third round of the 2018 AHSAA Class 6A state playoffs, falling just short of a semifinals appearance…batted .438 with 13 doubles, five triples and seven home runs as a senior and added 30 RBI.
