JSU CAREER
2020: Played in 15 of JSU’s 18 matches during the 2021 spring season following the Covid-19 pandemic…percentage-wise had her best hitting season with a .223 clip, but just 37 kills…played a reserve role for the best offense in the OVC that season, winning 15-straight matches to begin the year…helped JSU capture its second-straight conference championship...finished the season with 28 digs and five blocks.
2019: Did not appear for the Gamecocks.
2018: Made her collegiate debut against North Alabama inside Kennamer Hall on Aug. 24…played in all but one match as a redshirt-freshman, earning 15 starts…11 contests with double-digits kills and nine with double-digit digs to garner five double-double performances on the year…posted a career-high 19 kills against Western Carolina in Gadsden, Ala., on Sept. 8 and a career mark with 15 digs against Southern Utah on Sept. 1…finished with the third-most team kills with 247 a tied a team-high with 27 aces.
2017: Sat out the season as a redshirt.
HIGH SCHOOL: Prepped under head coach Kaycee Kaywood at Richmond-Burton High School in Richmond, Ill…a two-time team MVP, she earned all-state honors her senior season…played alongside former Penn State all-american Ali Frantti…also ran track for the Rockets where she set school records and reached the state championship as a freshman and sophomore…played club volleyball for Sports Performance.
PERSONAL: Born December 13, 1998, in Chicago, Ill…the daughter of Douglas and Monica Halverson…has twin older sisters, Waverly and Miranda…pulls for Chicago White Sox…enjoys rap, country and throw back music.
