    Volleyball Graduate Assistant
Justin Snyder joined the Gamecock Volleyball program during the summer of 2017, and began working immediately with the coaching staff in preparation for the 2017 season.
 
A native of Dayton, Ohio, Snyder comes to JSU after spending the 2016 season as a volunteer assistant at Davidson. As a player, Snyder spent four years as a member of the Belmont Abbey men's volleyball squad in Belmont, N.C. A two-year starter at middle hitter, he also spent time at outside hitter and helped lead the team to an 18-11 record in his final season, the best single-season total in program history. He collected 173 kills, 83 blocks, and carried a .400 hitting efficiency during his final season en route to leading the Crusaders to their first playoff match victory in school history.
 
Snyder has experience as a club coach and working team camps. His Carolina Juniors 15s squad earned a trip to nationals in Indianapolis, and he’s coached camps at Appalachian State, NC State, UAB, and UNC. At JSU, he will work closely with middle hitters, along with assisting the coaching staff in day-to-day scouting and recruiting tasks. He will also work extensively with the beach program. A 2016 graduate of Belmont Abbey College, Snyder earned his Bachelor’s degree in Sport Management.
