The Indoor Practice Facility was completed and opened in 2019. The secondary court, an exact replica of the Gamecocks’ main court inside Pete Mathews Coliseum, serves the men’s basketball, women’s basketball and volleyball teams year-round.
The practice court is located on the second floor of Pete Mathews Coliseum, just off the main lobby of the arena. Just a short walk away from all three locker rooms, the practice floor serves as an alternative to Coach Bill Jones Court when it is in use.
Renovations to the practice facility began in 2018. Previously an Olympic-sized swimming pool that served the University’s recreation department when The Pete housed classrooms on the third floor, the area was converted when Athletics moved its administrative and coaches office from Kennamer Hall.
