JACKSONVILLE – Belmont created some separation early and pulled away for a 76-53 win to spoil Senior Day for the Jacksonville State men's basketball team on Saturday at Pete Mathews Coliseum.

In his final game at JSU, senior Brian Williams scored 15 points to lead two Gamecocks (10-21, 4-12 Ohio Valley Conference) in double figures. Junior Darion Rackley added 10, while the Bruins (23-8, 14-2 OVC) had four players score in double figures to clinch their second OVC regular season title in as many years in the league.

Williams, a native of Lawrenceville, Ga., finishes his four-year career with the Gamecocks' Division I record for games played with 120 and games started with 94. He is one of four seniors that wrapped up their careers on Saturday. Forward Nick Cook had five points and eight rebounds to close his career with 515 boards, fourth-most in JSU's Division I history. Cook played in his 118th game in a JSU uniform, second only to Williams in the school's 19-year Division I history, while his 132 blocks are also second. Cook led JSU to a 31-26 advantage on the glass.

Guards Giovanni sMith and Rodereick McReynolds also wrapped up their careers on Saturday.

The Bruins got 19 points from senior J.J. Mann, who also pulled down eight rebounds an dished four assists. Reece Chamberlains and Craig Bradshaw scored 16 and 15, respectively. While Chad Lang added 11 off of the bench.

The Bruins scored the game's first eight points, but JSU battled back to tie twice in the first 10 minutes of the game. To break the final tie of 13-13 with 10:51 left, Belmont scored eight in a row and never looked back.
