MOBILE, Ala. – The Jacksonville State women's tennis team caught a couple of midweek snags the past couple of days, falling in back-to-back road matches at Samford and South Alabama.
JSU fell 7-0 at Samford and 5-0 at South Alabama. Both the Bulldogs and Jaguars picked up their fifth wins of the season, while the Gamecocks dropped to 3-5 for the year.
"Those were a tough couple of matches," head coach Andres Amores said. "But we have to play those matches if we want to improve. Competing against this challenging non-conference schedule will really pay off once we reach Ohio Valley play."
