Women's Tennis Drops Back-to-Back Decisions

JACKSONVILLE – The Jacksonville State women's tennis team fell in back-to-back OVC matches Friday and Saturday afternoon at the JSU Tennis Courts. The Gamecocks dropped a 6-1 decision to Eastern Illinois on Friday and was swept 7-0 on Saturday by SIUE.

JSU earned a set win in doubles on Saturday, taking a 6-3 victory at the No. 1 spot, and picked up a point in single play thanks to Diana Monsalve. The Gamecocks were not as fortunate Saturday, however, as they were unable to earn any points against the Cougars.

Jacksonville State's next six matches will be played on the road, beginning March 24 with a visit to Murray State. The Gamecocks return home April 14 to take on Belmont at 9 a.m. They follow up the next day with an 11 a.m. match with Tennessee State.
