JACKSONVILLE – Murray State proved early in the contest why it is the defending Ohio Valley Conference Champion and on track to claim the title again with a 3-0 win over Jacksonville State on Sunday afternoon at the JSU Soccer Field.
JSU, who was idle on Friday, dropped its fourth consecutive match with the league setback and fell to 0-3 in the OVC. The Sunday result moved JSU's overall mark to 3-6-2 overall. The Racers turned in eight shots in the opening half and added nine in the final 45 minutes.
