JACKSONVILLE – Jacksonville State embarks on the 2019 track and field season this Saturday at UAB's Vulcan Invitational hosted at the Birmingham Crossplex.
The Gamecocks will have four indoor meets before the Ohio Valley Conference indoor championships in late February, before taking on a slate of 10 outdoor meets. Saturday's Vulcan Invite will feature live results available at JSU's schedule page and

Brittany Cook look to lead the Gamecocks in their final campaign. Edwards, a 2016 second-team All-OVC honoree in the high jump, and Cook, last year's outdoor long jump OVC runner-up, are joined by upper-classmen

Greta Romei and newcomer
Chemutai Nereo, who paced the Gamecocks throughout the fall cross country season.
The Vulcan Invite will feature Ohio Valley Conference foes Austin Peay and UT Martin, along with power programs such as Miami, LSU, Middle Tennessee, Mississippi State and others.
