JACKSONVILLE – The Jacksonville State men's and women's basketball teams welcome Tennessee Tech to Pete Mathews Coliseum on Saturday for an Ohio Valley Conference doubleheader.
Tipoff of the women's game is slated for 5 p.m., while the men's game will follow at approximately 7 p.m.
Both games will broadcast on ESPN+, and the Leeds Jump Jumpers return to The Pete will provide halftime entertainment.
The Tennessee Tech women (13-3) enter the matchup as the remaining unbeaten team in league play with a 5-0 OVC record. Picked seventh and ninth in the OVC preseason pulls, TTU has proven to be the early surprise of the year riding an eight-game win streak dating back to a road loss at Arkansas on Dec. 18.
Sophomore Jordan Brock is second in the conference with 19.2 points per game, but will face the league's toughest defense that only allows 57.2 points per game. The Gamecocks (8-8, 2-3 OVC) rank in the top 50 nationally in five defensive categories including field goal percentage defense (21st), blocked shots per game (31st), total blocked shots (34th), scoring defense (35th) and rebounds per game (47th).
Senior Rayven Pearson, already sixth on JSU's career rebounding list, edges closer to her 700th rebound after totaling eight against Belmont to run her career tally to 689. The Hazel Green, Ala., native, is also averaging 9.9 points per game, behind only redshirt-senior Destiney Elliott's 11.1 average.
JSU trails the all-time series, 22-10, but has won seven of the 11 meetings under head coach Rick Pietri, and will look for another win on Saturday as the Gamecocks try to end a two-game OVC skid.

The Jacksonville State men's basketball team is coming off its fifth consecutive win over Belmont, pushing its record-OVC start to 5-0. The Gamecocks topped the Bruins Thursday in a 91-80 overtime thriller at The Pete.
Seniors Jamall Gregory and Jason Burnell each scored career-highs during the 11-point victory. Gregory earned his first double-double with a career-best 25 points and 10 rebounds, while Burnell scored 30 points and pulled down 10 boards.
The Gamecocks are riding a six-game win streak, the longest since the 2008-09 season, and have won 13 of their last 15 contests. One more win will tie Ray Harper's squad for the longest winning streak in the program's Division I history, and will tie Mark Turgeon's 1999-00 team for best D1 conference start.
Tennessee Tech enters the matchup with a 6-12 record, looking to break a two-game skid. Graduate transfer Malik Martin is the Golden Eagles' second-leading scorer with 11.4 points per game despite missing the first nine of the season due to a hand injury. TTU was 2-7 while Martin was out of the lineup. Since his return, Tennessee Tech is 4-5. He totaled 12 points during the Golden Eagles' 79-62 loss to Tennessee State on Thursday, recording his fifth double-digit scoring game of the season.
