ATLANTA – Jacksonville State's softball game at Georgia Tech on Wednesday has been canceled due to the threat of rain and thunderstorms.
 
The Gamecocks and Yellow Jackets were scheduled to play at 4 p.m. ET at Mewborn Field in downtown Atlanta, but the forecast calls for increasing rain and thunderstorms throughout the afternoon and evening. A makeup date has not been set at this time.
 
JSU turns its attention to its home opener on Saturday at Choccolocco Park. The Gamecocks host Southern Miss in a three-game series beginning with a 1 p.m. doubleheader on Saturday. The weekend will wrap up on Sunday with a 1 p.m. single game.
