Game Notes: Jacksonville State
JACKSONVILLE – One week after pulling away from Little Rock, 87-67, with a strong second-half surge, the Jacksonville State men's basketball team is set to return to the court on Tuesday evening hosting Carver College.
The Gamecocks (6-6) will face the Cougars at 6 p.m. from Pete Mathews Coliseum in the fourth all-time meeting between the two programs. JSU has comfortably won the previous three matchups, including a a 104-45 win at The Pete last December.

Demaree King enters Tuesday's game as one of three Gamecocks averaging double figures with 10.6. Senior
Darian Adams leads Jax State with 14.8 points, followed by
Jalen Gibbs with 10.8. JSU's 87 points scored in last week's win were the third most in a game this season, and improves the team's scoring averaging to 72.1 points per game with two nonconference matchups remaining before reaching ASUN action.
Carver College most recently fell to South Carolina State, 105-46, on December 16. The Cougars are winless on the season, and have faced three previous ASUN foes in Kennesaw State, North Alabama and Liberty.
Tuesday afternoon's game streams on ESPN+ and all fans ages 18 and under receive free admission to Pete Mathews Coliseum for Gamecock basketball. Jax State will wrap up the non-conference portion of its schedule at home on Thursday, Dec. 30, hosting Middle Georgia State. The game that was previously slated for 7:30 has been moved up to 3:00 and will be followed by the JSU women taking on Chattanooga at 5:15.
