JACKSONVILLE – Following five games away from Pete Mathews Coliseum, the Jax State men's basketball team returns home Thursday evening to host in-state foe South Alabama.
The Gamecocks (3-4) are coming off back-to-back wins to close out their time in San Antonio, Texas over Thanksgiving week. The Jaguars fell at Maryland on Saturday and bring an even 4-4 mark into the contest.
The Jags and Gamecocks meet for the third-straight year, but just the sixth time altogether. After USA was successful in last season's meeting in December, the Jaguars lead the series three-games-to-two.
Thursday's tilt between the two teams tips at 6 p.m. and broadcast on ESPN+. Mike Parris will have the play-by-play radio call across the Gamecock Sports Network.
KyKy Tandy enters as the leading scorer for Jax State following his 20-point game versus UIW on Sunday. For South Alabama, Isiah Gaiter leads a quarter of Jags averaging double-figures for a squad that only goes about 10 players deep.
