Jax State Baseball Announces 2025 Schedule


 JACKSONVILLE – Jacksonville State's 2025 baseball schedule is set, and the Gamecocks will play 32 games on Rudy Abbott Field at Jim Case Stadium.

Head coach Steve Bieser, entering his second season in charge of the baseball program has put together a challenging slate for his second Jax State club. The highlights of the 2025 slate include seven games against three different Southeastern Conference foes with home-and-home sets with Alabama and Auburn and a three-game weekend series in the Magnolia State against Ole Miss. Jax State will start the season with eight consecutive home games and playing 12-of-the-first-13 games on the turf of Rudy Abbott Field.

The season begins on Valentine's Day (Feb. 14) with a four-game series against Oakland University. The opening homestand includes Jax State's first midweek test against Samford (Feb. 18) followed by a weekend series versus Georgia State. The Gamecocks will visit Tuscaloosa, Alabama on February 25. Jax State will be tested by another Sun Belt Conference club with a home series against Arkansas State (Feb. 28-March 2). The Crimson Tide return the trip on on March 4 before the Gamecocks will have their first weekend away from home with the trip to Oxford, Miss. (March 7-9). The last time Jax State played at Ole Miss was during the 2019 season in the 2019 NCAA Oxford Regional, which the Gamecocks advanced to the regional finals.

The first of two meetings with Troy will be on March 11, while Jax State visits the Trojans on April 29. Jax State's tune up before Conference USA action begins will be against one of Bieser's former programs and alma mater, Southeast Missouri. The Redhawks and Gamecocks will renew their Ohio Valley Conference rivalry on March 14-16.

Jax State's second trip through CUSA will begin in Miami, Florida against FIU (March 21-23). The Gamecocks first home CUSA action will be against the Flames of Liberty (March 28-30). Jax State will make trips to league newcomer Kennesaw State (April 4-6), New Mexico State (April 17-19), Middle Tennessee (May 2-4) and Western Kentucky (May 16-18).

Dallas Baptist (April 11-13), Sam Houston (April 25-27) and Louisiana Tech (May 9-11) visit Rudy Abbott Field at Jim Case Stadium for CUSA weekend series.

The Gamecocks will face in-state foes UAB and Alabama State in home-and-home match ups. Auburn will make the trip to Northeast Alabama on April 15. Jax State's trip to AU is set for the final midweek action of the season (May 13).
 
Fans will have a chance to get a glimpse of the 2025 club on Saturday as the Gamecocks host West Georgia in the final fall exhibition outing of the fall. First pitch is set for 1 p.m. Admission is free.
