JACKSONVILLE—The second-ranked Jax State bowling team returns to action this weekend at the Northeast Classic in New Castle, Del. hosted by Sacred Heart University.
In their three first semester tournaments, the Gamecocks won Destination Orlando and the Ladyjack Classic, finished with a fourth-place showing at the Garden State Classic.
Of their 26 matches won this season, 10 have come against Top 10 teams.
The Gamecocks are the top Baker play team in the nation at 211.5, highlighted by a 216.7 team average at Destination Orlando. In individual play, the Gamcecocks have a 206.6 average and are led by sophomore Annalise Obryant at 221.8. As a team, they strike on over 53% of their attempts.
The field this weekend includes the Top 15 in the December National Tenpin Coaches Association Top 25.
Baker play begins Friday morning with traditional play to follow on Saturday. Competition on Sunday will be a best-of-seven Baker format.
